No clearance on reverse clutch drum

I just put together by reverse clutch drum and I have zero clearance. Can’t get any feeler gauges under the snap ring. My selective snap ring is .079 in. Is there a thinner snap ring available? My old friction plates measure .059 in and new ones are .077 in and my steals measure .068.

    Thanks. George

There are .08 and .061 clutches for the FWD/REV on the AOD....you can get a thinner snapring, yes.
You can machine the top plate to fit your snapring, yes
You can get thinner frictions, yes

Steels are all the same for this location

Your new frictions are pretty old stock IMO....have not seen a kit with the thicker ones in a long time.
