I am running a Lincoln Mark VII with a 427 ci Windsor, Vortech blower making
approx 15 lbs of boost with all the good add ons.
Trans is a Silverfox AOD non-lock with a 2800 stall Precision Industries converter.
Rear has 3:73 gears. Have not been to the track with this new combo Due to
roll bar requirements but hope to get there in the spring.
My question...is there a loss factor that can be applied to get an approximate
trap speed. Various sites calculate with no loss (1:1) at 6500 rpm 26 inch tire
3:73 gears ...134 mph.
Previous engine 347 with a blower got 120mph @ 11.3 with a lockup AOD
and the same stall and same tire.
I am just wondering where those 3:73 are going to make the engine run out of R's.
