Need advice on t-5 to aod swap

I want to swap an AOD into my 5-speed '86 GT. Which is the best AOD to use. I just need to get the car back together for now. I have heard the truck AOD is the one to get!? There is a 1988 Mark VII at my local salvage yard that I can get for $100. Help is greatly appreciated!

Sorry you feel this way, so let me be your first reply. I wish I had known about this site before I built my AOD and bought a POS off the shelf converter. Everything you need to know is in the stickies under the forum tab. That is the little box in the upper left hand corner. I'm sure if you put out just a little effort for some research and ask a question about something you don't understand, someone will help. This is not a fag import site and the people who monitor it are very intelligent. Have you read any of the previous 1 million threads that have asked the same question, or are you just throwing out some blind a$$ question?

Well thats a sure fire way not to get help. maybe one of those fag import sites would be of more help. You could try reading a few posts the information you are looking for is right there in them. or you could sell your 4-eyed car and buy an import jackazz...

That'll make people want to help....The questions you asked were pointless and not worth an answer. Sorry everyone doesn't sit around all day waiting to hold your hand on a simple swap. The consensus is that any stock aod is still a pile of crap without some work. The later model the better. My choice for a best stock unit is the 1993 supercoupe.
