How much gain?

I just got a 93 lx with an AOD. I was wondering how much time could be picked up on tranny and gears alone, like a stall, shift kit and some 4.10s.

I ran it stock and got a 15.80 with a 2.5 sixy foot spinning one tire :shock: so I got a lotta work to do.

4.10's + shift kit gave me about 5 tenths. a good converter is also said to give about a half second.

i went from 2.73 gears to 3.55 and picked up 5 tenths.... so some 4.10's a shift kit and a stall could probably get you a whole second atleast

Cool I will be doing the tranny and converter and gears first then instead of exhaust. I just want the car to feel faster daily driving like the 5 speeds do.

Any ways if I can pick up close to a second before doing motor work I dont think that would be too bad.

My car was running consistant 14.7s at 97mph with a 2.3 60ft time. The next week I went back to the track with 3.73s and a 2800rpm torque converter...14.0s at 98.5mph with a spinning 2.0 60ft time :D

My 91 vert when it was stock...4.30 100% street tires, 3000 stall, shorty headers and flowmasters, went 14.40s w/ 2.1x 60s.
