is spinning a rod bearing common for a 5.0? car has been losing oil pressure at idle slowly (thought the gauge was wacky) it has 10 -15 ..psi at idle roughly and 50-60 off idle but started making noise last night around 1300-2200rpm under load (sound like a plymouth reliant or horrizon haha) motor was rebuit not to long ago w/ new oil pump gonna check in to it more w fastfiveliter but wanted to get more imput
guess it was to much of this after gettin jimmy c to do my rear hahaha :bangbang: :mmm:

Anything is possible with these motors......you just gotta check the dumb stuff first...Are you running a real thin oil??....another common problem i see is if the oil pump pickup gasket isnt right youll see a drop in pressure....motor running hot??...could be anything really..ya just gotta poke around and hope for the best.

no its done took the filter off and its got copper glitter in it
i used castrol syntech 10w-40 with less than 100miles on oil change?
is this a coincedence?

Hard to say if its a coincedence or not, however, I would not run synthetic oil in a motor that only has 100 miles on it. Once you get your bearing problem fixed, run regular dyno oil for at least 3,000 miles before switching to synthetic.

I still wouldn't have put synthetic oil on that motor till at least 3k miles.
