View Full Version : Mark VII AOD swap into 95 Mustang?

I can get an extra AOD transmission out of a 89 Lincoln Mark VII 5.0 for $100.
I'm thinking about purchasing it in case I ever need to rebuild my 95 Mustang AODE transmission. I could swap the AOD for use in the meantime?
I have an 86-93 style throttle body/intake which would accept the TV cable.
What else would I need to swap this AOD in place of the AODE?
I believe the dimensions (length) are pretty similar. Anyone know?

that would all work! codes would be thrown though.

No codes for me. I run a manual VB on my AODE and a 5 speed manual 95 Cobra computer.;)

was curious as to how this worked..... and as to what codes would be thrown. im sure trans codes would be thrown... but is it tied in to anything that may affect engine performance?
