View Full Version : Today was a Wash....
I went to Cecil County Dragway today to compete in a street car shootout. All of the Rhodes boys were there, so I hung with them to see if I could learn anything, hehe. A light mist was falling, but stopped and the Cecil crew got the track dry enough for some 1/8 mile only racin'. That lasted for less than an hour and it started to rain pretty hard and they called it. The one pass I got in was a 6.70 @ 101. It was hard to lift at halftrack :D , and I actually had to get back in the gas to make it to the end, hehe. They told us to hold on to our tickets, so they can be used at the next event, which was cool.
Oh well, at least I got to do a burnout... 8)

Nice butch that was a 30 pass fo sho :o
I misread my slip Mike. It was a 6.76 and my average 330' was off by a tenth. I dont think it woulda been a 30, but considering the air and track were not optimum, it wasn't too bad.

6.7 = 10.45 according to the conversion table...

Eric what conversion do you use? i use 1/8 miles time x 1.55 and come out to 10.38
6.7 x 1.55 = 10.38
6.76 x 1.55 = 10.47

I usually just refer to this chart: http://stangstable.com/stang1.htm#Conversion%20Table%20Top. You're right though, there are lots of different ways to do it.

Don't feel too bad about the weather...Since I finished my car last weekend I've been hoping for a decent day so I can take it to the track and shake it down. No such luck. It has literally rained EVERY day here since last Tuesday, and they are calling for F'ing SNOW tonight into tomorrow!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
