Well after being through 4 t5's  I am saving to do a g-force t5 next. I like the tremmecs but heard problems about the new ones, plus I like sticking with the t5 with the mounting locations and stuff like that. Not having to buy extra parts. Just seeing if anyone has a g-froce and how you like it?

Thought about going that route but probably going to go with the t56. See what d&d has to say

ive heard and seen pretty good results with the G-Force stuff.....maybe someday ill try it myself.....i do hear that the "helicol" kits have a bit of gear whine to them...but if they hold up and dont have the rotating weight of a 3550 or tko..why the hell not 8)

If you are not running a power adder (turbo, nitrous, blower) the T-56 will reduce your 1/4 mile ET's, this is only if the car is mostly a drag car. But if the car is mostly street/part track, than the T-56 would be a nice piece to install.

I don't understand why you guys would use a weak case T5 and dump a ton of money into it. I can't see a G-Force T5 holding up longer or the same of a TKO. Right?

wieght.......when you serious about et, wieght is EVERYTHING......t-5 is a ton lighter then a tko and it doesnt take as much horsepower to spin it.

We are a dealer for the G Force T-5 and cannot keep them in stock. I have driven 2 cars with them (one dog ring, one not) and both were very impressive. The street version shifts very much like a stock T-5 and they seem to take everything thrown at them. You also do not have to deal with Tremecs bitchiness when it comes to high rpm shifting. My winter project for my Cobra is gonna be a G force swap....

I've heard/seen both positive/negative on the G-Force T-5's. One thing that sticks out is a current NMRA Modular Motor class racer that's a non-power adder combo broke his G-Forced T-5 after about 75 passes. G-Force wouldn't help replace anything saying that 75 passes was a pretty good amount of passes. Anyway, the racer doesn't abuse stuff and he wasn't too thrilled to have been told that the T-5 would be "safe" up to 600 HP and he's only making about 300 HP....He doesn't get on the boards and type negative feedback but I figured I'd chime-in with this as an example....
I'm kinda old school, I have a 4 speed Toploader with everything to swap in a Fox Body as my winter project this year to swap in place of the current C-4. Overdrive isn't a biggie here since it's just a street/strip toy.

My gforce is excellant but is coming out for the next engine combo, time to go to auto.

I have the sychro gforce, upgraded main shaft, and their case.
Also anderson hi rev kevlar clutch, fidanza alum flywheel, pro 50 shifter.

Same set up in my buddy's lx has gone 10.0 @ 140 with no problems. Mine has only been down the track once so far and it went 11.69 @123 shifts like butter on the track at wot and around town in traffic.

Not trying to dog them but I will share my limited experience
I have 2 good friends that both own a G-force tranny. Both of them have busted third gear in them and had to completely rebuild them. (Parts are 1K for rebuild and both had less than 500 miles on them). They are both very happy with them when they aren't broke though, but for $2XXX they very well should be.

If you buy the complete G-force setup the only T-5 part left is the case. They are lighter than the Tremecs and shifter better at higher RPMS. The sychro'd one whines a bit but when you can shift smoothly at 7000 who cares? As far as people breaking them ANY 5 speed trans thats put through drag racing duty will eventually fail. As you all know clutch setup is crucial to a trans staying together....

G-Force makes a strengthened case now.

Is the case availible though? The last couple I ordered with the better case came with new stock Tremec T-5 cases.....
