when it comes to car parts....u get what you pay for...if it were me i wouldnt buy a mac t-body......theres other stuff out there alot nicer and not that much more of a hit on the wallet.

just remeber....you only want to buy this shit once...so get the best stuff you can.

Acufab is the way to go. If you do go with bbk make sure you put an additional throttle return spring on it.

I run the acufab now and it has been 100% trouble free. Just make sure that you check all the bolts on them....someone had an incident with a butterfly screw and a piston...

I was checking out the professional products throttle body last night. What a piece of garbage. There is no way the throttle would close under boost with that thing...the spring barely snapped the butterfly shut. You definitely get what you pay for with throttle bodies.

i ran a professional products tb on a stock engine with no problems. switched to bbk, no whistling. you can get good or bad in everything these days.

the mac tb is so cheap because it's basically a copy of the edelbrock/bbk unit. no r&d equals lower cost. same thing with the typhoon intake, but i'd stay away from that. i've seen the runners on the mac intake and they are rough as hell. the casting looked to be of pretty poor quality.

i had a professional products TB on my 91 lx...what a POS....

stuck wide open me....needless to say i ebayed it and got a BBK. the bbk TB's are the same as the edelbrock....i havent had any issues with them.
