What makes a tranny a lockup tranny? I thought it was in the convertor but on Lentech's site they list both a lockup strip terminator and a regular strip terminator. Was also reading through this month's MM&FF and saw they picked up like 10 MPH by getting the lockup feature.

There are a few things. The converter/input shaft are what make it a lock up, but on the Lentech models they have a toggle switch that you flip to disengage/engage the lockup feature. I've always run non-lockup stuff personally. Are you buying a full tranny package from them?

No I am doing a home version similar to "87vert". I am doing a good rebuild including new "A" servo and input shaft, good converter and a Lentech VB with brake. I am building a new combo very similar to your previous one. I have Edelbrock Performer PRM heads out of the box with matching RPM intake, F303 or AFM B21 (have both). Currently have it with a t-trim and 30#/77mm Pro-m (ran 12's on a totally stock '92GT through the 5 spd here at a mile high with 180k on the odometer) but will be upgrading to 42#ers. I have both cog pullies (75/29) and a rib renegade kit. Not sure what I am going to do about the computer yet but most likely a PMS or Tweecer. Unless I can score an EPEC cheap as my buddy has alot of experience with those.

I just got their strip terminator w/brake valve body myself. I haven't had time to install it yet. They told me it had to be used with a non-lockup converter when I asked if mine would work, so you may want to ask them.
