I currently have a WC T5 that I upgraded to Z spec using parts from Hanlon. 10 spline Input shaft, gears, cluster shaft and a good bearing retainer ...

NOW that I have a twin turbo kit and know that eventually this T5 just isn't going to stand the pressure... I need to know what I need to do to keep it a usable trans. I don't want a TKO, nor a T56 at this point. Auto ...eh maybe but I would really like to keep the fun factor on the street up and keep the T5. So what do I need? A5 Kit, G-force complete build? Face plated?

I would really like to buy the parts myself, I can do the work, just need some ideas on parts list.

Thanks
Brad

Speaking as an owner of a 5 speed, turned auto turbo car...my car was MUCH more fun on the street with the auto...I know alot of die-hard 5 speed guys that made the switch to auto and never looked back.

But to answer your question, you need a trans that can handle the torque load...alot of companies sell kits or whole trannies rated to 650tq. you can look at astro performance and g-force

I copied the post and sent it to Bob Hanlon on NMRA forums. I had forgotten he was on there... I need a trans that will hold the power of a twin turbo'd 347 in a dart block. Right now I am limited to the stock block so the trans I have now as is should hold pretty well on the street as long as I dont get crazy. Once the Dart set up goes in.. I dont see that working to well.
