aod question

i have an 88 gt and has an aod in it. what im wanting is to know if there is some type of kit out there that will make it able to handle 400 horses. i was also wondering what shift kit is the best i want one that wont break my neck when i drive on the street but will be agressive enough. any help would be great. thanks

A solid rebuild from a person who knows what he is doing, or can read this site, can make a stock rebuild handle that - along with a good shift kit.
Off the shelf Baumann or TCI are the only kits I like....otherwise My VB line is pretty spiffy :)

thats what i was hoping for and i went to tci's website and looked around not as expensive as i thought they would be. what kit would you recommend for a street daily driver cause thats basically what i have.i was thinking the lowest kit they have would be plenty.

stock kit will be fine it sounds....so long as the clutches they supply are accualy good quality. Like raybestose or Borg Warner....I have seen some kits lately with true crap almost transparent friction material, thin crap.
