I'm sick and tire of loosing to 5 speed stangs!!!!

I have the minor bolt ons cold air, full exhaust, shift kit, (i have a set of 4.10s and upper/lower control arms being installed next week...)

my problem is i'm on a highschool budget...

What to do....

Vortech Sq charger with fuel and ignition upgrades... (stock long block)

Heads, and upper lower intakes, TB

BTW i'm just shy of 90k on the OD...

What is your true budget since you say you're on a high school budget but then mention high dollar items like heads and blowers? To maximize what you currently have, I'd suggest a good converter and a nice shift kit or valve body and then build from there. The 4:10's should definitely wake the car up too. Check out Adam Dugger's Article (http://www.duggerracing.com/techtips/aod.shtml) on how to get an AOD to run with a 5 speed. It covers some great stuff.

damn your talking about a superchager on a high school budget I remember when I got my 88GT in high school I had a hard enough time being able to afford a catback for it. lol

a converter and valve will really make a big differance though.

my budget is very little i have about 800 saved up for the car as is... would take a lot longer to double that...

i was thinking of buying used

already have a set of 4.10s just gotta install them also already have a shift kit...

i might actually just sell this car if i can and buy a sweet 90 gt 5 speed black, leather 73K on it with a f cam gt 40s and a cobra upper/lower and exhaust...

I didn't realize you did not have the gears installed yet. when you get them in its going to be a night and day differance over the 2.73's you have now.

I would go for the converter next you can get something like a B&M for around $300 new.
also have you ever considered nitrous. cheap way to go fast

I'm 17, The gears & , upper and lower control arms are going in by the end of this month as we get time to work on it..

I already have a B&M shift kit with the race level stage in...

i'm thinking about getting a valve body and converter come spring time cuz thats under a thousand hopefully... Only thing is... is will the shift kit mess with the aftermarket valvebody???

also going to get a tranny cooler regardless of the valve body or converter..

What do you all think of picking up a used vortech sq trim if i have enough money saved up?

i start college in fall and i'm going to have two jobs from next month until college so hopefully il be able to pull in some decent cash

A convertor and gears will wake up that car. And my stock AOD lasted for about 500 miles after I put the super charger on it.
