driveshaft length

I'm putting an aod out of a foxbody in my 94gt. Now I have the problem of the driveshaft being to short. When I put the driveshaft in the tailshaft so that it bottoms out I then pulled it back out about and inch and a half for the suggested clearance I am still about an inch and a half to short to reach the rear. I have a 45.5 in driveshaft in it now. The biggest spacer I can find is an 11/16 wich still leaves me about 3/4in to short. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I also am trying to figure out what the four wires on the aod are for. I know they are for the neutral safety and reverse lights but I don't know wich ones are wich. I then need to figure out what are the neutral safety and reverse light wires on my trans harness. It has been a mess the past two days working on it.

I'll let Bob(rel3rd) handle the driveshaft question, but the 4 wires should be for the OD delete and the tranbrake, which is which i am unsure but I am sure Adam will chime in and let you know...the AOD should have a pigtail harness that plugged in to it for the nss and reverse lights, if you have that harness you can check a wiring diagram for each and just match them up. Should be able to find the diagrams online somewhere

I have the transbrake and o/d wires figured out. The pigtail with four wires on it I'm sure are for the reverse lights and nss but I'm not sure what color wires are for what. I haven't been able to find a wire diagram yet.

R=red
PK=pink
W=white
P=purple
O=orange
LB=light brown
color/color=solid/strip,dash or dots
BK/W would be black with white strip.

The 4 wires are for the neutral safety and your backup lights. A wire diagram is in the link below. Go to post #4 and #8.
