Been getting mixed responses. Its a 93 mustang, and switching from a t5 to AOD, do I need a new computer?
Also, the driveshaft looks about a 1/2" short, I thought they were the same size? Am I doing something wrong, or do I need to get it cut?

IMO no there is not need for computer swap.
DS can be cut, but no lengthened - there is 1/2" DS spacers at UPR I beleive.

whoops, I meant half inch too long. why did i do that??? :-?
anyway, so they might not be a direct fit, and if i cut it, something won't fall into place and be short and i'll be cussing my idocy?

Both the computer and driveshaft will work fine with the conversion. I have had 5 speed, AOD, and now c-4 in my GT and I have used the same computer and driveshaft with each combo. The only way the driveshaft wouldn't work would be if the AOD was not out of a Mustang or something comparible in length.

the trans came out of a mustang. But the drive shaft is just a tad shy. Am I doing something wrong or should I have it cut?
