Can someone please explain this technique to me in detail. I know Eric mentioned it to me before but I can't remember. Low - Drive and back to Low quickly? I dunno but rumor has it, might speed me up?

Just so you know, if someone didnt already tell you. You will wipe out your OD band from manually shifting your Stock AOD.

I had a stone stock AOD with the only mod being a B&M shift kit (junk, I know) last almost 4 years of the 1-D-1 shuffle and manual shifting of 2-3...I only had 240 horses in front of it...but it lived just fine...until the 300k mile 5.0 crank decided to take a permanent lunch break. Don't get me wrong...I'm NOT trying to say it's perfectly fine and won't hurt anything, because I'm sure it will...but in my situation it lasted pretty good...even with DR's and slicks on occasion.
I used to do it all the time on the street just to bark the tires in 2nd...I THINK the only reason I didn't kill mine is because I wasn't shifting at "redline"...1-2 shift @4700 and 2-3 shift @5100-5200. No sense in running a stock engine any higher anyway.
Good luck,
Don
