Has anyone ever put a seat out of a different car into a mustang. If so let me know anything that may help.
Thanks

i had a set of buckets from a toyota mr2 in my '79 cobra... as long as the seat will physically fit between the door and the transtunnel, it is usually just a matter of either shimming the brackets on the seat and drilling new holes, or taking the time to modify/fabricate/weld new bracket up to fit the mustang mounting pattern....

I had to make all new brackets for my racing seats. As dizntz said, As long as they fit in the car then you can make them work. These are my seats.http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/show_image.pl?fg=FF0000&bg=6666FF&migration=1&image=http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/7/web/379000-379999/379922_78_full.jpg

For what its worth, any seat out of any 2 door ford from about 1965 till present will bolt into any other 2 door ford. In some cases it requires the swapping of the original seat tracks onto the new seat you are attempting to install, but the track width has remained constant all this time.
Case in point, 2001 Bullitt Seats essentially bolted into my 65 Mustang just by drilling 2 holes per seat in the bottom of the seat and bolting my 65 seat tracks to the base.

thanks for the info.
Mustang seats go for outrageous money, and look I'm looking into something comfortable, decent looking, and reasonably priced. I'll put all this to use when I find some seats I like.
Thanks again
