I've got a 89 302 with good oil pressure about 50-60 psi all the time even while its hot and in gear.When it warms up a little you can here a knocking noise come from it can't really tell where fromI don't really thinks its a rod because you can race it up and it doesn't seem to get any louder it also has something in the oil not water its like metal it does have a new hei dristibiter could this be whats in the oil breaking the gear in? My thoughts possibly flexplate cracked or bolts loose ,maybe torque convertor and timing chain.Any one else had this problem.BTW the motor has about 140k on it any help would be great.:confused:
