4r70w gear set

Are the gears with anything? I have an aod i picked up a few years go. I was rebuilt with the 4r70w gears an the valve body was modified to be manual. I couldn't get it to shift right so I just put my old one back in. I want it out of the garage, an was thinking i would sell the gear set if its worth anything. I was also thinking of sending the VB to silverfox to check out/experiment on. How hard is it to get to the gears? Thanks.

So you are thinkin of removing the 4r70w gears and selling them? They are one of the first things to go into the case so it would require nearly complete disassembly. Also, they are probably worth maybe $50. I have found sets through ebay for $45. Hope this helps.
