im going with a 331 this coming spring, im gonna be using my S-trim for a bit longer, with a 2.95"/7.00" pulley setup i was seeing 13-15psi with a stock bottom end 302. so what can i expect the boost to drop to with the 331?

I gotta ask the million dollar question...why a 331 instead of a 347? If you're running the same heads, exhaust, etc. I wouldnt expect any boost drop off.

well talked to a couple prospective engine builders, BB&T racing, Keith Craft were the main ones and they told me the 331 would be a better choice than 347 for a car that sees ALOT of street time. Eric i explained to them i drive my car everyday and they recommended the 331. BB&T were the ones that said the S-trim wouldnt cut it with the 331, sounded odd to me too :? he said with the 2.95"/7.00" pullies im running now i would only see 7-8psi

You might see a couple psi drop but i don't think it will be that much. You can always get a 8 inch crank pulley too.

Thanks in advance for answering my questions. guess with my little ole' S-trim going to about 6000-6200 i'll prolly only see 8-9psi then afterall

very happy, price was right and the service i got afterwards was great as well. anytime i called i always got someone on the phone or a return phone call very quickly. a friend of mine had his 408 based shortblock built from them too, he is the one who pointed me to them. he is also very happy with his motor.

i went with the r block, eagle crank, eagle h-beams, srp blower pistons

From my understanding Conner from newark had a 331 in his cobra and that thing was a pig. He had nitrous, full suspension,fuel,5spd and weight reduction and it wouldnt even stand next to rich back before rich got serious. I watched 2 back to back races and it was sad.

TO EACH THEIR OWN

I understand im not downing the motor. But if your talking cubes why not 347? Im just busting balls here. But if its cubes your looking for then wouldnt 347 be the motor of choice. In all i know you did your home work and it will haul ass.
