I am currently in the process of upgrading to a 351/392. Trying to do it right from the get go, but running out of money fast.
My fuel system consists of 42#'s with an 80mm 2 225 pumps, intank and pusher, and stock lines. It is tunned with an interceptor 2.
I need to upgrade my fuel system as well as injector size. Should I go with low or high Imp. injectors? I know that I need a driver for low Imp. injectors. On this note, should I bite the bullet and get a fast system? What about the SDS system? How would it run with low injectors and a modified stock comnputer using the Interceptor?
I am looking to keep the boost low,6-8 psi, and make around 600 RWHP? What size injectors? What pump or pumps would you use?
What about the bracket mod for the blower bracket? Is Alternative auto the only people that do this?
Thanks
Eric

Have you thought about running a PMS with low injector drivers and 72's? That combo would work well with the stock computer and is very similar to the interceptor 2 you are used to, just updated a bit. Spence is a dealer for AFM and can get the PMS at a very good price. He also offers the best support. I might be able to get you a good deal on the injector driver for the pms because i have a friend selling a brand new one. Don't forget to look at the rest of your fuel system. Go with -8an feed lines, -6an return lines, and the 1/2 fuel rails. A lot of guys have been having good luck with the dual inline 255's. I think Scott (blownsaleen) just went with this setup so he might be able to chime in and provide some pictures.

Update on the car. Ran the car for about 300 miles N/A and then hooked up the blower and headed to the dyno.
Car made 495@ 5300 on first pull. 5 hours and 22 pulls later it made 517 @5500 and then fell off like a boat anchor  . Wide band was showing 11.5-1, but everything else said rich. Black plugs, black smoke out the tail pipes after 5500, eyes where burning. Tried changing the plugs, was no help.Tunning the car with a PMS.
At the request of my wife, God love her, I ran the car @ Joliet NMRA race in Wild Street. Car went a best of 11.4 @126.5 with a 1.89 on Nitto's. Car is 3570 W/driver, so it is making some power.
Only thing I could come up with is wrong plug and gap? Is .032 too much for 13#'s of boost? What plug would you run and where to get them? Car has an MSD dist, digital 6 and blaster coil.
Thanks

I have a similar fuel system setup on my old combo Stock 302, b-cam, s-trim pullied for approx 14 lbs and I ran the Autolite 23's gapped at .032.
Here is my future combo
331 with either a Novi 2k renegade or YSi
Aeromotive a1000 inline pump with sumped stock tank
-8AN lines to 1/2 fuel rails (BBRC's)
-6AN lines back from rails to regulator & tank
Aeromotive regulator (boost sensitive)
72# injectors
PMS tuned with injector driver
However, it does sound like you need to get it back on a dyno to see why you are fouling plugs. Too much fuel on the top end.
BTW are you running a FMU?

Update
Pulled the blower inlet and discarge to replace the header gaskets and found oil in both. Always had some oil, but I thought that it was due to the pcv, now I am not running one. So I pulled the blower and set it to paxton. Hope to see it some time in September.
I wil let you guys know when it returns, and no I amnot using an fmu.
Thanks
for all the help
Eric

18* @ 13#'s @6500
made good power to 5500,peek hp, then it falls off.

Can you post the tune you have in the interceptor? I am sure some of us PMS guys can look at it and see why it's falling off..

Ericif you had no signs of detonation and the A/F appears fat, try a few degrees timing  try 19 see what that does, then work your way up to about 20-21 with no less than 93-94 octane
