Sweet...welcome to the Click Click club :) I will most likely be doing a c4 this winter as well. What's that converter going to stall at? Any reason you chose that shifter? A nice shifter is going to be one of my next decisions.

its pretty high, 3600-4000ish

yeah, i woulda used a b/m so it looks like a stock automatic but it would have been around another 150 bucks to set it up for the c4 and the reverse manual valve body

the way it is now it still looks like a stick at a quick glance ;)

Eric do it man, I just switched from an AOD to C4 I love it!!! Its a difference between night and day.

What c4 setup did you go with? I am thinking of doing something like a PA reverse valve body trans brake setup with some sort of converter with like a 3600 stall. My heavy AOD needs to be replaced with something much lighter and I need a trans brake.

Dude the weight and the size of the two trans's is unreal. I bough the trans already done from a guy that planed to put in his 88 but went a different road. So I dont know all the details of the stuff inside harden input shaft, kevlar bands, harden foward drum, full rev man vavle body, and 3000 Trans TSI convertor. Wish I would have done it when I broke the AOD in May, but wanted to keep the OD cause of the 4.30s. But the way the car runs now its worth the OD loss. And Im still running the stock shifter.
