Guys i am thinking aboiut going from a 26" to a 27" ET Street. With no other changes, what rpm decrease could i expect?

I searched for online calculators, and all the ones i tried gave me completey different #'s.....Anywhere from a 150-600rpm drop......Does anyone have 1st hand knowledge on this?

Car has 3.55's and currently traps @ 6350 or so....Im trying to bring the revs down to 6000 @ the traps. Stock block/crank/rods = 6000rpm and below is where i live. LOL

Thanks guys,
Miles

Miles,

What converter do you run with the AOD?

Eric PI 3500, got any insight as to how much rpm will change?

It would probably bring it down 100-200 rpm or so...I think going from a 26" to a 28" accomplish your goal.

goto the bottom of this page. but it wont count for converter slip if your running non lock-up. but its good for determining different gears and tire combos.
