There is an idle adjustment screw on the carbuerator itself. Check that out first.

I tried that its adjusted all the way out. Its acts like its sucking air some where you can put your hand over the top of the carb and it takes a 5-10 seconds to die.I'm thinking something internal in carb or intake.

Not exactly sure which carb you have, but on my newer Holley if my a/f screws were adjusted all the way out then my motor would probably stall because it would idle way too rich. On my carb turning the screw CCW richens the idle mixture, and CW turning leans out the mixture at idle.
One way to check for a vacuum leak is to get a can of carb cleaner and start spraying around the places where metal is tightened down on other metal parts - like carb base area to intake manifold, and intake manifold to heads - the spray will find the leak and you will hear the difference in your motor at the instant that you spray on the leaking area.
Also, check to see how your secondary and primary throttle blades are adjusted at idle. On my carb, I've had to completely close my secondary's at idle to get my car to change from idle to transition to the mains properly without bogging.
