4 cyl AOD shifter

Are the AOD shifters the same between the 4cyl and a 5.0 aod? I have a 89 4 cyl that I am upgrading to a 5.0

i dont see why the transmission or linkage would have anything to do with the engine bolted up infront of it.

no, the A4LD auto shifter is 1-2-D-OD with 4 fwd gear detents...the AOD only uses 3, 1-d-OD like the c4 and C6.

Just be careful. Lots of idiots on ebay who try to pass off A4LD shifters as an AOD shifter.
