Now that the primary race season is almost over, its time to start lining up plans and resources to start out next year right.
I know I have several projects lined up ranging from ceramic for the headers to hopefully fitting a high-rise intake under the hood, to FINALLY getting a bar and belts so I can actually race. Things have gone from not much happening to soo busy I can't even find time to go out and strip parts of cars....so the free time the colder weather should afford me is much anticipated.
How about all you?

I am trying to decide what to do with my car over the winter. I really have no time for it anymore, so I have ten different ideas running through my head. I wouldn't be surprised if my AOD ends up in Scott's car though :)

If the over time Gods like me, I hope to do the plenum, tb, shocks, struts. If I have enough funds, maybe a diablo predator.

UPR adjustable control arms and heavy duty subframe connectors. That should keep me busy during the winter.

Unfortunately, I am doing a head gasket swap as we type, and the blower has only been on a week and a half, the PMS less than a week, and the new MT drag radials haven't even been mounted yet, so about the only "mods" for me over the Winter will be a new convertible top and more than likely a rollbar from our friends at Rhodes Custom Auto Works...

Welp, first off I'll be having a new engine built. Followed by suspension and chassis work. And even maybe a paint job to make it all look nice. But I'm not holding my breath on the paint. Might even re-do my exaust from the system I picked up from Rich Smith. But I'll decide on that after the engine is done and running.

Well if all goes well, I plan on saving up over the winter (too cold to work on my car outside anyhow) and start modding in the spring. I'd like to yank a GT-40 intake off of a '97-'00 5.0L Explorer/Mountaineer at the local scrap yard. I'd also like to have a set of GT-40P heads, keeping my fingers crossed on that one. That and maybe headers and a short belt will probably be the extent of my modding.......for now. I'd like to see how fast I can get my 'Bird with the MAP system before I do a MAF conversion. I must be doing something right 'cause I've dogged a few lightly modded AOD 'stangs(w/MAF) in my time.
NOTE:I look at the 'stangs as brethren...just punk kids try to get tough with me from time to time.

Ask Mr Lunner where my Original Cobra intake is, maybe you can buy it off the guy that currently has it. It is an original 94-95 Cobra unit that was double extrude honed and makes lots of ponies

After driving a 12-sec 'stang the other night, I decided I'm not going to stop at the GT-40 heads in the spring...I'm not loaded so I'm gonna pinch my pennies and hope for a used pair of Mac long tubes to come up. I decided to say adios to the speed density, just gotta get the conversion harness, MAF, and A9L processor....I'm also considering a B or E cam also. Hopefully I get the time and supplies to fab up some custom solid motor mounts so I can get rid of those huge rubber pancakes Ford called "motor mounts"(for those who don't know...it's a T-bird). I'm pretty confident that, as my car sits now, it will run high-14's...not too bad, but I'm dying for 13's. We'll see what happens.
