Are you power guys running and why did you chose the gasket you are running?

Ok, I was just jokin,...............

I ran felpro pt9333 with a stainless wire in the head..............for maintinence reasons we usually changed them after 20 runs, but this last set went 40 passes, with the change over to the X trim we were seeing 29psi in high gear. I pulled the heads when I blew the motor and the gaskets were in perfect condition.

if your building a new motor, I would use the felpro MLS or cometics, the deck surface and head surfaces need to be super smooth for them to work properly. replacing gaskets I would use 9333

Blown head gaskets are from detonation, not boost..........just remember that, if you blow one, its a tuning issue.

WERD.....I have two 8548PT2 FelPro gaskets with 6 burned holes to prove that one...lol...

that's how most of my car is held together

When you switch to the MLS will you still need to change them every so often Spence, or will they last longer?

I have used regular gaskets (9333/ b51's etc..) , cometics, than copper, now back to cometics. Copper just wouldnt seal right and seeped antifreeze, the fel pro's held fine for couple years till i turned up the wick too much and the first set of cometics held through enough rattling (way to lean tune) to eat a piston. This set should be my last set, i finally broke down and got bigger injectors and a pms lol ;)>> The cometics can be reused like copper and do not need to be replaced for a couple seasons at least (i never heard of anyone having to change cause of age)

I run cometic on my set up, have reused them 3 times now with no problems!

I am running the cometics now, and so far they are awesome. They have lasted for several 600+rwhp passes on the dyno and several 9 sec passes on the track (/me knocks on wood).
