This is a continuation from AOD vs TKO help. The only changes I made was increase the base timing from 8* btm set @ 0 to 14* btm set at 1. This was all done on pump gas. The converter is still a little tight. thanks Eric and all the corral members that posted for all your help!

Sweet #'s, congrats!! Looks like you beat your old tko time by .5 now? Looks like the car 60' a lot better this time out too!

Thanks Eric, The car picked up .17 in the 60' .669 & 1.86 mph in the 1/8 and .48 & 2.86 MPH in the 1/4. All this from just 6* timing increase. I was shocked! Man, when they say "it's all in the tune" that's very true. I also made one pass with it in drive shifting on it's own 10.91 @128.46. The valves lash seem a little loose, I didn't want to change too much before I went back to the track. so now I am going to do a full tune up.
thanks Again

Yea, a good tune makes all the difference. Just don't get carried away with the timing. That BTM knob was always my downfall since it was so easy to turn down. With the base timing at 14 and the knob at 1 your total timing will be 16-18 degrees total with 12-14 lbs of boost. That's the max you want to run with good pump gas. You should really get a good tune and get your a/f dialed in too or get a PMS and you can make fine tune adjustments.

Well, I have the PMS, I will be installing it over the winter. I know there is more in my combo, But I am not risking it with out the proper tune. I did look at my AFR gauge going down the track and it was 11:1, boost was 14 psi. so, I think I am safe until I can switch over and get a tune.
Just for kicks What kind Of RWHP do you think my car is making? I think I am gong to do a before the PMS and after dyno?

Very cool! Good to hear things are working good for you.

Unless you can dyno the car cheaply I say just install the pms and dyno the car when your tuning it. No reason to spend the extra money. And dyno numbers are not that big of a deal. I am sure with the AOD it wil not look overly impressive anyways. The dyno is just a tool for tuning. All that matters is the ET & MPH at the track.

Also, you can get a round about power number based off your car's weight and mph in the 1/4. Do you know what your car weighs with you in it?
