I really want to be able to run mid to low 13's in the qtr. Never done this with an AOD and I don't want to build this combo 2X. Figured this was the place to ask. I want to go to the track, bolt on slicks, run, get my 13.50 or better timslip and call it a day. I want enough room for error that I don't have to ice the intake, run a short belt, inflate the tires to 45 psi, remove or take loose the sway bar. Is this going to work?
I have on the car:
Explorer intake, 65mm t/b, 73 mm C&L, Fender mount CAI, shortie headers, o/r Pro Chamber, 2.5" catback, 3.73's, alumimnum d/s, shift kit.

I have a set of stock GT40 heads besides new springs, and being miled 15 thousands, and a set of 1.7 RR's. I am not going to bolt these on if I can't easily reach my goal with them in an AOD car. I will have to save for several months for some Edel Perf RPM heads or something similar if the iron GT40's aren't enough. Don't want to spend money porting cast iron factory heads.. I want to keep the stock cam if possible. I will also purchase a 3200 RPM lockup converter. I guess I want to know if there are any Fox Body AOD cars on this site with stock cam and GT40 heads/intake that run mid 13's or better.

My best is in my sig, with the stock stall and untouched AOD. Just a few mods, 4:10's, gt40 tubular intake w/70mm accufab, gt40 home ported irons w/1.72rr's, u/d pullies, cai, and a 100 shot.

Dyno #'s were 248/300 n/a.... 13.80's all day long.
