This happens a few times when I drive the car when its cold...I will shift into first, second and third, and as i give it gas, i hear what sounds like a hollow popping noise or a loud clunk coming from the motor. To me, it sounds like the drivers side, near the firewall, but it's hard to tell. I have a feeling my timing is off as well, so I don't know what that might have to do with it. This pop/clunk sound is loud and noticeable, but its not a bang, like a backfire. It sounds like a hollow pop.... Any ideas?
