Wrecked the Stang....

Earlier tonight on Pleasant Hill road in Newark. I was cresting a left hand turn on a hill and there was a deer right in front of me. I swerved to miss is, locked the brakes up and hit a tree. The whole front of the car is gone. it's basically totaled because i can't afford to fix it. so, it's getting parted. i'm keeping the motor, it's going in a new project (64 falcon sprint). nat was with me, we're both ok.

i'm going to go cry now.......... :cry:

But you know what really sucks? When you find out from your Insurance carrier you would have been better off hitting the deer and not trying to avoid the accident at all.

thanks guys. kurt's right, 64 falcon sprint, late model 5.0. the car has a 351/C4 combo in it now, but it hasn't ran in a while. when i get her home, i'll try spinning the motor by hand. if it's good i may put the heads from the 5.0 on it and possibly go injected. i may also throw the t-5 in it depending on how much of a pita it will be. i may also use the 8.8 from my stang and maybe the brakes as well. i'm officially broke, so i'm going for whatever will be cheapest. thinking about this project is helping me deal with totaling the stang. liability insurance ain't helping either.....

yup. i saw him saturday night and told him what happened. i asked if he still had the falcon and he said if you want it, it's yours, pay me when you get the money. jim is the fucking man, end of story. i'm glad there are still people like him around.

We will have to get together one day and go down there, Id like to see if he has some parts I could use...
