I've convinced a few newbies to attend the SSOTN Nats and they ran out to Pep Boys and bought what they call "Snell Approved" or "DOT Approved" helmets.....the problem is no where are the helmets labeled "Snell 2000" or "Snell 2005".
I don't think "Snell Approved" or "DOT Approved" are legal at an NHRA track are they?

Rich, they need to be dated. If they say snell approved but don't have a date, look inside to see if the lining unbuttons. Sometimes the label is hidden underneath the padding.
