5-speed to AOD HELP!!!

I am in the process of getting the AOD in my 92 GT. I can't figure out how to make the shifter work without hacking up the car. I want to run the B&M hammer console shifter so it looks stock and clean. Does anybody have suggestions on how to modify the tranny tunnel for the shifter?? I noticed that my 5-sp tranny tunnel seems to have a extra piece spot welded from the factory to raise it a inch or so. Can those just be drilled and the top piece taken off?? Also I got the Auto pedals in the car today, what wiring is going to be needed as the 5-speeds seem to be different than the autos??

as for the trans tunnel yes you can drill the welds and take that hump off...that's what i did in my car...you will just have to make a plate to make the hole smaller....as for the wiring I changed the harness that plugs into the main over by the drivers kick panel and runs out the the trans...that's the easiest way to do it and your lights and nuetral safety will work....and the auto cars have a plug that plugs in, in place of the clutch switch but you can cut the plug off and solder them together if you don't plan on being 5-speed again...as the plug is nothing more than a loop...
