Looking into installing manual brakes on my 93 notch i have stock drums in the rear and 95 brakes up front. What do i need besides the adapter plate and master cylinder? Is it possible to hook these up with stock brakes or do you need 4wheel disc? Also how good do these work?

Well I think it maybe easier on your foot with 4 wheel discs but you can use them with stock brakes ...all it is is a plate to get rid of your booster and a rod to hook to the brake pedal moves your master cylinder back to the firewall ...not really worth it Imho doesnt do too much in the way of going fast...i'd rather go fast and slow down fast....drove a mustang LX with a mod 5.4 in it with manual brakes and it sucked felt like my knee was broken after 30 mins...oh and thats all you need besides a vacuum cap to block off where your booster line went

i went to manual brakes since my cam really wouldn't work too good for the brake booster....don't know how they feel since i haven't drove the car yet but i have drove different cars with manual brakes and they weren't that bad...

I think manual brakes require a different ratio pedal too.

the skinny kid racecars kit is the best one it comes with the master cylinder, plate, rod and all you have to do is re-drill the pedal for the ratio although...i do not recommend it with stock brakes because the bore of the master cylinder is not big enough to support the single bore caliper it is designed for the smaller four piston calipers...you

I believe your right Dan I had seen an article somewhere where they modified a stock fox pedal for a different ratio they raised the pivot point to get more pressure...oh it was muscle mustang and fast fords they did it on "project frightening" the four eyed coupe that they put the lightning supercharged 5.4 in you could look on their website under tech

I use that kit, it works "ok" with the stock brakes. Very heavy pedal feel though. The caps for the master cyl leak though, you'll need to get replacements.
