Olivia's blood sugar is stable. They are now waiting to make an assesment on her white cell count tomorrow evening.

If it comes back with good results, we can take her home Thursday, Friday at the latest.

Chaun wants to be discharged tomorrow, even though she has the option to stay until Thursday. I think it makes sense for her to stay until Thursday in the event we can all go home together. She doesn't see it that way. She wants to come home to try and get a good nights sleep which I doubt will happen because I know her. I know she will be worried because she is not near the baby.

I spent pretty much the entire day in the NICU.

Olivia is so alert for a new born, and so far not a fussy baby at all.

One good thing IMO is that she doesn't want a pacifier. I'd rather her not get dependent on those to help her sleep.

She would wake up for feedings, and then fall asleep in my arms. That was very cool.

When she woke up she would just stare at me and look around. When I was holding her, she started making these cute little faces.

It was a good day with her.

I didn't want to leave
