Her pancreas is producing too much insulin, which the Dr tells us usually occurs in big babies. So they are treating her for that.
Her white cell count is low, which means she may have an infection of some sort. they are treating her with anitibiotics.
They plan on keeping her in there for 2 days. If she improves, they will let her come home.
I came home for awhile to get some more sleep. I'll probably go back later tonight.
Chaun is improving, but in a lot of pain.

Thank you Mike, and thank you Jules.
Mike, I can't imagine what you must have felt. what I felt is probably trivial to what you went through.
I was telling Jules.....there I was, holding my daughter and she was asleep with her head on my shoulder. Best feeling in the world.
Then they tell us they have to talk to us and they take her down to the NIC
We sat there for an hour until a Dr finally came up to talk to us.
Turns out now..........I talked to Chaun about an hour ago, that they are keeping Olivia for 7 days due to an infection.
Chaun can go home on Wedensday.
They think the infection has to do with when her water broke and the time between birth.
I don't care when it happened. Just make my daughter healthy so I can bring her home.

Hang in there Don. Its a hard situation, I know, my daughter had the same type of problems when she was born. They will take real good care of her. I wish all three of you the best and lets us know if you need anything.
