hey everybody. mattg introduced me to this site and it seems like a cool place to shoot the sh#t about stangs. i'm from long island ny and i do most of my racing at atco since my local dragstrip closed a couple years back :-(.
i have a 1988 mustang gt. its midnight blue, 5speed, 4.10's and a 2000 ford explorer gt-40p motor with an 88 cam in it. she runs pretty damn good for what it has. my best on a d/r so far is 12.48 at 107. i have gone as fast as 108. before i put the gt-40p motor in i had the original 140,000 mile e7 motor go a best of 12.90 at 103. the car is lightened up pretty good and i have no accessories on the motor either. can't wait for spring for some better times cause i'm adding a few tricks to it this season. my goal is to see how quick i can go with all factory ford engine parts.
