I have a 89 fox with a t-5 just picked up a c-4.
i have the trans
hammer shifter
converter
block plate
bell
flex plate
cooler
temp guage
drive shaft spacer
auto pedels
auto(aod) harness
my big question is how do i wire up the relays on the shifter to get the back up light and park/neutral safty switch to work. also is there any other wiring i have to worry about, that would make the car not start.
the hammber shifter is out of an AOD car, it looks like im gonna have to get crafty with mounting it. has anyone else do this, i have the kit that mount the shifter in stock location.
thanks in advnace

I have a wire diagram of the AOD plug/harness that you might use if that is what interfaces with your ignition.....that might help, I will see if I can dig it up...if not, there is a diagram online at LENTECHautos.com

Its simple 4 wires, I just striped all 4 wires, tapped two together found the rev lights, hooked em to the switch, and same with the NSS.

yeah, i found the diagram on lentech. once i seen it, it made since to me. i didnt realize it was so simple. i hate wiring stuff with a passion and usually try and avoid it at all cost.

where is it on the lentech site, i couldn't find it and i'm in the same boat right now. For some reason my car won't start with the key but it will if I just do the old screwdriver on the solenoid trick. I still need to rig up the shifter cable. I'm just using a stock aod shifter. I used the tv cable and modified the bracket to use as a kickdown cable. It seems to work. Haven't been able to drive it since I can't shift it with the shifter yet.

sorry to bring this back, but i have a new question. the Aod harness is MIA so im gonna have to wire the neutral saftey and backup light from the t-5 harness. i dont know what connector i should be looking for to cut the wire off of to connect to my shifter.
on the t-5 there are two connector that go to the trans, im assuming it is one of them. on my trans i only used one of them, the one closer to the back. the problem is it only has two wires. so im assuming it is the neutral saftey switch. im lost as to where the back up lights would come from.
also, there are two sensors on the peddle assymbly one of the quadrant side and one of the clutch peddle side. what are these and can i use these for the switches?
thanks in advance.
