I don't see any mention of suspension work, tires, or of any tuning being done. Is any of this stuff done?

just uppers and lowers, i had the car dynoed up yhe street before they unfortunatly closed shop. it pulled229 hp and274tq with the tv cable way off of where it should have been ,plus fullsmog still on/severe short shift from 2nd to 3rd , its set right now i think though. i still thought that was a little low?
I am pulling 14.1 with street tires on my 90 hatch. The only things are exhaust, gears and 1.7's. Everything is stock. Your setup should definetly get you into the mid 13's. Heck with some stickies, I know I can hit the 13's. Oh yeah, my car dyno'd 207 at the wheels. I have a stick car. Maybe your auto needs a little "tuning". Those stock AOD's rob some serious power. I am sure these AOD guys here can help you out.

Hmmmmm. I went 13.8 with my 90 hatch. 5-speed, 2.73's, and the basic other mods. Where are you launching at? Where are you shifting at?

I am leaving at 2500 with 20lbs of air in the tires. I shift at 5400 (5000 on stock tach). I may be able to hit 13's with the street tires with more practice. What mods did you have? Was that with stickies? I have 3.55's in mine :?

I usually ran 14.0's on street radials. I found the best launch was at 1900 (on the stock tach). What I did was pop the clutch and floor the gas at the same time. This produced a slight bog, but it picked right up. My mods were as follows....
Timing adjusted to 14 degrees
K&N panel filter.
Front sway bar removed
Hurst Comp. plus shifter
When I went 13.8's, I launched at 2500, slipping the clutch, power shifting at 5600 rpm (used a Autometer shift light).

i acually got a better launch off a dead pedal, my converter is rated for 2500 rpm's but the thing just doesn't get any where near that .
it gets to mabey 1800 and the tires start turning at the line.
the trans has a bauman shift kit and does shift a heck of alot harder than stock.
i'm am 1-2-1 shiftin  it at about 5800 rpm's.
best time to date is 13.91 at 102mph 1.94 60 foot.(100%humidity)icebag.
off the line the car barely break the tires loose on the street, but once 2nd gear is hit they break loose a little more.
car dynoed 245hp/279tq.
P.S. at least its not getting any slower :lift:
