View Full Version : 60ft times...?

About a month ago I ran my best ET of 10.75 @ 125.76. The 60ft time was 1.479 on that pass. My question is concerning 60ft. I have a converter in the car from Lenny @ UCC which has helped immensely. He feels there is another tenth in the 60ft. Also Kevin @ baseline (whom's kit I have in the back) confirms that is some left in it. Now I'm not one to give up or so no way but my car weighs 3250lbs. The car definitely needs some ballast in the back but damn the car is already heavy as it is. The car consistently does mid 1.47s to low 1.48s.
Do these 60ft times seem about right for the ET my car is running and the weight it is at? My goal has always been mid 1.4x 60ft times.

One thing I'd be concerned about...if you make changes, will it still be consistent? I'd rather be consistent, than slightly quicker sometimes...JMO...;)
Nice times nonetheless. I know it's been a long time coming. CONGRATS!!!

Well the car has 28x10.5/15 still wall ET Drags on it. For a 400rwhp motor its pretty hard to be inconsistent on these monsters..lol. Thanks Bob! Was good to talk to ya again.

I'd worry about messing w/ a consistent combo ... that's a pretty good 60 time IMO ... you're talking hundreths here ... that's when you know you got a good combo ... I would worry about effects of changing that converter will have on the rest of the run ... a freind was running pretty close to you w/ low 1.4 60s @ 10.40s and he changed up the converter and lost 4-5 tenths ... I would play w/ the weight and hook before the converter ... my $.02

Already changed the converter which helped me a ton. Just trying to find ways to improve the 60ft. I have a few more things to try but always open to ideas.
