His name is Ryder and he is a 7 week old chocolate lab. I'm picking him up on Saturday. He was the first born and the largest of 10 pups. My buddy breeds them and gave me a great deal on this AKC registered pooch.

I have 2 (1 physco :shock: ), 2 year old cats now, so it should be interesting for a while around here. :D

Sucker!!! Just kidding, is this your first lab Butch? I just adopted a balck lab named shadow, about a year and a half ago. I asked the vet a few questions..here is how it went.

ME: She likes to eat poop...VET:Lab
ME: She like to everything...VET: Lab
ME: She follows me everywhere...VET:Lab
ME: She goes 100mph all the time..VET: Lab
ME: When will she grow oout of being a puppy..VET: Six or seven...are you getting the idea yet?

So, enjoy..they are VERY smart and like to getting into everything. I will have to take pictures of her on the tube beiung towed behind my boat..she loves it. Good luck!

I have had lab mixes before Julian, but this is the first pure bred. I don't believe in having a dog that you just leave out back or tie up somewhere, they are great companions and they never bitch :D

i've had 2 labs and a mixed bulldog...half boxer and half pit

i have one of the labs now and she's a lazy dumb animal but the other lab we had was a smart one.....very good dog

the bulldog is the best dog out of the 3 though........one of the smartest dogs i've ever seen......but she's way more hyper than labs and agressive....she's always cutting the neighbors lab's ass
but that's the only problem is how she fights with other dogs
