Hi all - glad to be back to the Fox body side of racing. A little info about me:

I've had 7 Fox body Mustangs starting with my first 1986 that I bought back in 1991 - small mods but that was basically my first taste of drag racing.

Fast forward many years, many cars, and 3 children later. For the last 4 years i've drag raced my 1994 Z28 with bolt ons, small cam, suspension and a 5lb Vortech SQ trim blower turning 11.37@122 on drag radials.

I've sold the Z about 2 weeks ago and picked up an ultra clean 1986 Fox AOD car with 82k miles and a couple of mods here and there.

Went to a track rental at Norwalk yesterday and made the cars first passes under my ownership before I start modding it. Ran a best of 14.29@96mph

So - the plans are this: mid/low 11's, factory interior and streetable.

I'm lost on this AOD however - I have a buddy that has a converter for me, I believe (he believes) it's around 3400-3600 stall.

Current mods on the car are this:

4.10 gears (no posi)
Underdrive pullies
MAC stainless steel equal length headers
Off road h pipe w/ bullet dumps
Griffin aluminum radiator
Black Magic electric fan
UPR adjustable lower control arms
3" fiberglass cowl hood
1.6 Roller rockers (Not confirmed yet)

Mods I added on Day 2 of owning:
Drag radials
Upper intake and throttle body from 1987
Open air intake (Homemade CAI)

Car weighed 3180 with me and a half a tank of gas

Thanks! That was the biggest selling point for me this time around - a nice clean unmolested chassis to work with. I'm not going to cage the car or rip the interior out or anything crazy like that (I don't think?). Maybe a cage depending on how it runs.

It's kinda like a burgundy/bronze looking color - I have no idea what it is called tho.
