I'm getting ready to switch out my C4 for an AOD with tranny brake and am wondering what type of switches I'll need for the brake/overdrive. Can I wire them into the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel?

Also, I haven't taken a good look at whether or not it's possible to run the wires out of the pan through the dipstick tube. Is this possible?

Thanks

any momentary switch within reach of the seat will do, and yes, you can wire up through the dipstick, it has been done before....but I just option drilling a hole in case or tapping the pan.

The dipstick tube has a hole in it, near the top (at least mine did). It's probably too small for two 14 gauge wires, but it could be opened up.

Sounnds good! Hopefully I can get it installed in the next week or two and see how it compares to the C4.

On my AODE ... I wired my transbrake right through the existing connector that comes right through the right side of the trans case.

No drilling through case or pan. No worry about another possible leak source.

Edit: Just noticed that you said you have AOD not AODE. Your trans does not have an electrical connector on the R side of case does it? My mistake.
