I've had my mustang all over the DelVal area and have not had a lick of problems with my 4.25 or so inches of ground clearnace to my pipes (4.75 to the pan).....until today...sure I've been over speed humps...you know those speed bumps that are about 2 foot wide....but today I found speed bumps that you could sue someone over....While looking for Eric's and Mike's and the rest of the gangs little shop I ended up cutting through the back of the fox run center

These things were unreal.....I approached....went up...came down on the brakes....practically stopped and drifted forward....SSSCCCCCCRRRAAAAAPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEE as my pipes drag on top

And there was 5 more till I was out of the parking lot.

No damage, just extra shinny bottoms on my pipes now. By the last one I had the trick down....slow going up, slow coming down (people honking behind me and flipping me off slow), as soon as you are level, blip the throttle to lift the front end a hair, then heavy on the brakes for the rear tires...managed to only drag on half of the bumps that way....but JC...these things were completely uncalled for in their height and angle they were practically curbs.

Then I came back later and stopped at the fish place to get some aquarium supplies....when I tried to back out of my spot...not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, BUT 6 A$$holes almost creamed me from 3 different directions!

ugh.

On a brighter note....visited the shop....and I am so stoked about having some of the local guys fab me up a roll bar for the car. I feel very confident and think its going to be great.

I am putting the bar in
1. Because I want to hang to simple 3 points OEM style seat belts on it for starters
2. Because I don't know how into dragging I am going to go but I want some modest protection that looks good and will grow with me if I go crazy with the car.
3. I was reading a some of the rules for the open tracks I want to run and it sounds like they want you to have at least a street bar in the car.
4. Its an old car, so the additional chassis stiffening it will provide will be invaluable

I am starting with a simple 4 point that some of the local guys here are helping me out with on the work since they bought a new tube bender. It should serve as a good base if I ever need a 6 or an a full cage setup.

It will also be nice to promote a CCR shop that can do this kinda work :)
