Sorry,
I didn't see this one. Did you tap the top of the trans case for those wires? For the pan I normally just use the gasket that cames with the filter kit and that usually seals it fine. You could run a layer of silicone on both sides of the gasket to help seal it if it's leaking.

no i was going to tap the side of the pan is it better to do the top of the case?thats why i was concerned with the sel of the wires around the pan. not the gasket. thanks for the reply wasnt trying to be a ass just want this thing done.thanks again

IMHO, going through the pan for these wires is NOT THE BEST OPTION. I would have drilled the case and installed a tap fitting (lke Lentech) or routed them up trough the Dipstick hole like Chevy does.

I did exactly what Dan mentioned above. I did it wrong the first time and put it in the way of the parking rod, so placement is very important. I had to lower the tranny down to drill and tap mine, but I used the lentech fitting which screws in and is a sealed fitting with the wires.

drilled the case today and tapped it in the car.i just dropped the crossmember and let it hang, wasnt to bad thanks for all your help guys, one more question do you have to drop the valvebody to remove the linkage. i already installed the valvedody and forgot about the b&m linkage.

If you think you need to remove the linkage, yes you will need to drop the vb to gain access/room to do so.
The linkage has a nut on the manual lever shaft - remove it 11/16" IIRC, and the TV bracket on the outside 7/16" I think.
then it will fall apart on the inside. You shouldn't have to remove the manual shift lever, but if you do want to, remember the roll pin that goes through the case from the pan area....some of these can be a BIOTCH depending on what idiot installed it last.
