I had a blast!!! It was the first time that I have driven my car on the street since 1998. A friend of mine at the Del. DMV hooked me up with a T-tag to put on the car for the weekend. Not to stroke myself or anything, but my car is quite radical sounding and I never removed the slicks either and I was very worried about being pulled over, but all the cops were cool. At one point while stopped at a red light I had a cop on each side and one right behind me. I just sat there grinnin' :D like a mofo as the car chopped and shook and made all kinds of racket. 8) One even stopped by to ask a few questions about my car. All of the people that I saw getting busted were driving like idiots in stock z-28 or some ricer. The car ran well, .....ran a little warm, around 200 in traffic, but all in all it was very "streetable". lol. Scott(blownmonte) and I left thurday evening and returned early sunday morning. I hope to leave maybe wednesday for the fall event.
While cruisin' I spotted Bill Tumas standing on a balcony and Turfman's car parked around 18th street. Scott(sc98cobra) stopped by where we were hangin' out to say what's up. I did not get up there to see you guys much , because we were hangin' out around 98th street. It was impossible to get the trailer any closer to the action down there. We had a group of friends at 42nd street, so we would make a pit stop there to cool down and then continue down as far as we could until the traffic was unbareable and we would turn around and repeat the process on the way back, hehe.
TOO MUCH FUN!
...even if you are a die-hard drag racer. 8)

We stayed at Frontier Town Campground. It's located just over 50 bridge off of 611. I had elec., cable, water, and shower facilities, and oh yeah, I slept with my car :D

I could never get a good shot off this truck. It was a super-cool hauler. The long chrome sidepipes gave it an evil sound :twisted:
