I have a set of draglites I picked up late this year for real cheep. The front have 165 tires on them. The rear are 15x8 w/ 5.5 back spacing. My question is can 275x50x15 tires fit on my fox. Keep in mind it has lowering springs in it and the Quad shocks are still in place. I just dont want to have to roll the fender. any help would be great thanks guys.

I have those exact size and backspace wheels, and same size tires also. Nitto Drag Radials on the back, which are a little less wider than say an MT or BFG Drag Radial. I removed the quads, but could have simply flipped them around if I wanted to keep them. The car is lowered as well...
You "may" have to reposition a park brake cable or tailpipe, but for the most part, they should be a simple swap...

I used to run eibach sportlines with a 26x10.5 M/T et street without any clearence problems, and my friend has the same setup as Bobs coupe without any problems. so you should be fine

So if I ditch the quads the tires will fit? I also look in a jegs book, they make 275 60 15 would that be a better fit?

you should be able to keep quad shocks if not at most all you have to do is flip them around in the other direction.

The 275/60/15's are a taller tire than the 275/50/15's
If I remember correctly the 275/60 is a 28" tall tire an the other one is a 26" tall tire.
With the 275/60's you will have to roll the fender lip.

When I ran M&H's they were a 275/60/15 and my 28x11.5x15 ET streets was a 15x8 with a 5.5 offset and never hit the wheel lip. I had to massage the inside wheel house. When I went to a 15x10 wheel with a 6.5 offset had to use a 1/4 inch spacer. But my wheel lips are still there. Also there are no quad shocks on mine or tail pipes.
Heres with M&Hs

Heres with ET streets on a 8" wheel

And here is a 10 inch wheel

Well I went out today and got a pair of 275/50/15 M/T's. They will add some much needed traction now I got to pray they fit
