I have come to the realization that I've always wanted a blower car and I won't be happy until I have one. After running a compression test last weekend, I found out the one hole I thought was bad is actually tip-top. So, I think I may buy a blower sometime in the not too distant future. I've narrowed my choices down to the S-Trim or the Novi. Both are comparable in terms of power production, growth potential and reliability. I'm not going to go too wild here. I'm going to be running it on a H/C/I 302 for now, then maybe a 306 or 331, most likely using a stock block to keep cost down and possibly retaining my nitrous using a very small shot for the cooling benefit. This car is not a track car by any means, it's a decent street car and that's all it will ever be. What I want to know is, my motor has 90k miles on it but it seems to be in pretty good mechanical condition. I run Trickflow TW heads, Street heat intake and a E-Cam. I figure to keep the boost on this motor under 10 pounds. Will this be safe on the stock block and bottom end? I know 600 flywheel hp is about the limit on a stock short block, how close will I be cutting it? Also, I would appreciate any pointers, opinions and experiences with either of these blowers. Thanks everybody!! :D

One of my friends just became a paxton dealer because he wanted a SC and didn't want to pay retail for it....I think he is offering decent pricing...but I never asked him either ;)

Bill its good to see your gonna get pretty serious now  the S-trim is an awesome blower(im kinda partial)but it honsetly doesnt really compare to the Novi 2000 the paxton will be all the blower youll ever really need IMHO, i say go for the Novi

that was kinda my thought. I'll never outgrow the Novi.

with either blower you will be near block splitting power, doesn't mean it will happen though... my stock shortblock is still in one piece

with that said either blower will get you your goals but there is nothing like the whine of that s-trim on a street car

but for the love of God, get rid of that e-cam
