Cecil County Dragway featured a Pro-Mod shootout along with several other classes of racing on May 1rst. There were 14 cars in the field. The powerplants ranged from a single turbo smallblock chevy, to 700 plus cubic inch nitrous motors, to supercharged combos. The quicker cars were running 6.30's at over 215 mph. There was also a Nitro-Injected Dragster running 5.40's at 270 mph. My camera was not cooperating with action shots for some reason that day, but here are a few pics of some of the cars. I entered the Pro-Street class of bracket racing and made it to the second round. A sleepy :( .110 lite cost me the round and turned me into a spectator for the rest of the nite.

There were also 2 Alcohol funny cars testing. The Kendall sponsored Frank Manzo was one of them. He is a longtime Alcohol racer who currently sports the number 1 plate on his car. A top notch operation. I missed his full pass, so all I can tell you about the run is that is was very loud. :D

Some of you might know Eric H, who runs with the Rhodes boys, he also entered the Pro-Street class. He is a very good racer who was cutting very low 0 lites all day, but like myself, slipped in the first couple rounds and was sent packing. He and I shouldn't race until the eliminations start, LOL.
