I would like some suggestions for a stall for my car...car will be a bolt on car, stock h/c/i, suspension work, daily driven, so I want a lock up, it will be occasionaly sprayed with a 100 or 125 dry shot. I was looking at the edge racing mild street which is like a 2800 or 3000 stall. ANy suggestions would be great. Thanks

Also, on second note, a little run in with a ls1 tonight, gets me thinking the car might have h/c/i by this next summer, so what would I want to look for in a stall if I were to do that compared to stock h/c/i? Thanks

it would depend on the cam you choose. Its recommended to have the stall like 600-800rpm's below peak torque.

I had a 2800-3200 stall in my AOD, worked killer on the street and the track.

You probably want to give one of the Trans shops a call, either Performance Automatic or Lentech and have them build you a converter for what you want to do. They will recommend the best stall for your setup.

a edge 9.5" 3000 stall is what i use to get my stock H,C,I car into the 12's and run with the ls1's.

I strongly second the idea of letting the experts who actually build the converters make the suggestion...I've had a custom built by PI and I've had one by Edge...both were great and both worked exactly as promised...

What works for this guy or that guy doesn't mean it'll work for you.

When a true custom converter is spec'd out there is a ton of information that is required and if you are going to spend the cash...spend it once and do it right, or don't do it at all...

p.s. I don't think the Edge "Mild Street" is meant for nitrous use. I may be wrong, but call Andre to verify...He's a good guy and very helpful/patient with his customers...
